Alison Craig

Alison Craig has drawn and painted all her life, although the first 25 years of her working life were spent with the NHS. She gave up the day job in 2002 to study for a degree in Fine Art at NEWI, since when she has worked full-time as a painter-printmaker. Her work is grounded in observational drawing and the experience of the rural environment, principally in the countryside immediately around her home. The Curious Travellers project dovetails neatly into her usual practice, providing another dimension to this exploration of the landscape.
